Amalfi is a community in the province of Salerno located in the Campania region of Italy near the city of Salerno.

The political and influential people of the day used to visit this place for a relaxing getaway in the late 1930s. Today, it is a trendy tourist destination for everyone who wants to enjoy the lavish sites.

For example Positano is situated between Amalfi and Sorrento.  While the clothes and food here run to the expensive side, the quality is definitely there. You can also walk on the warm, inviting beach. You can also go into the Santa Maria church surrounded by a wall which depicts fishing fox. It symbolizes the irreplaceable connection of seas and mountains in the Costiera Amalfitana which shape its horizon.

From Sorrento, you can also have a hydrofoil going to Capri. This island is known as the "Island of Dreams". One thing you should know: it can be crazy busy in July and August.

Ravello is situated up high in the hills above the town of Amalfi, offering some of the most incredible scenery of the sea down below.

In a tribute to Wagner’s music, Ravello sponsors an annual music festival during the summer season. There are many varieties of music and street presentations suitable for every one.
